From DuPont and Mohawk is a carpet that out performs nylon in both wear and stain resistance. How stain resistant is it? First, bleach won’t stain it. That means coffee, tea, red wine, mustard, etc certainly wont bother it. How durable is it? Mohawk donated some to the Birmingham Zoo (check it out on the internet) for two weeks: Ricko the Rhino lived on it- doing what wild animals do. It didn’t show any wear patterns and cleaned up extremely well (with just hot water). There were no stains.
